Hi, I’m Libby Montague-Brown, the founder of Why Marketing Ltd.

My career has spanned continents, platforms, and formats, but it has always been anchored in one thing: creating experiences that connect with audiences.

I began in the UK with large scale public events like the Ideal Home Show and F1 Motorsport, ahead of luxury lifestyle then launching my own indie record label and touring globally. From there, I moved into digital agency land, and corporate clients, before heading to the Walt Disney Company, working on campaigns across licensed product, TV Channels, to blockbuster releases.

I later returned to Aotearoa to lead commercial partnerships for Disney NZ’s theatrical slate. I developed and delivered creative B2B campaigns including themed high teas with Cordis Hotel and Hoyts Cinemas across the summer programming of Christopher Robin, Mary Poppins Returns,The Nutcracker and retail with Reckitt Benckiser and Countdown to celebrate The Incredibles 2.

As Head of Sales and Marketing at Pop-up Globe, I had the freedom to experiment with campaigns that filled seats and built lasting loyalty. When COVID hit, I pivoted to international marketing in the TV & Film licensed tabletop games world, heading global product launches &campaigns for Gale Force Nine.

In recent years, I’ve returned to my roots: major events. I directed the marketing, sales and communications for the NZEA Award Finalist, World Choir Games 2024 in Auckland. and I’m currently working on the World Buskers Festival 2025, connecting culture, commerce, and creativity in ways that audiences and stakeholders remember.

I am an experienced A/V content producer, from working on TV shows and films here in NZ to music videos and commercials in the UK with higlights of house hold name brand partnerships and global blockbuster franchise trailers.
