Who and Why?

First, to introduce myself, I’m Libby Montague-Brown.

My career has taken me from large scale public events, the Ideal Home Show in London, via F1 motorsport, through having my own record label and touring the world. Time in marketing agencies followed by producing campaigns for blockbuster films and local theatre, spent a little time marketing table top games around COVID, then finally back round to major events with the World Choir Games 2024 & World Buskers Festival 2025.

An experienced A/V content line producer, I cut my teeth at South Seas Film School then the TV and film industry here in New Zealand, later for The Walt Disney Company in London.

I returned to New Zealand to create strategic commercial partnerships for the theatrical slate for Disney NZ, delivering some fun campaigns such a themed high teas with Cordis hotel.

Leading sales & marketing at Pop-up Globe gave me some free reign to produce some creative ways to fill the seats. Sadly COVID emptied those terraces, forcing me to pivot to TV & Film licensed consumer products and the boardgame world for Gale Force 9, a totally different style marketing only internationally.

Finally back where I started in Major Events, bringing choral music to the masses, and beer to the buskers.
